Welcome to da first Furever Friday posting. Every Friday I am going to interview some of our twitter pals and let them share their furever home story.
This week I am proud to introduce to you a brother and sister duo that are making their meows heard on twitter, it’s SawyerBeanKou and KatieKatKou.
(Sawyer answered the questions while Katie took a nap...)
You mentioned to me that you remember your pre-SPCA lives, what can you tell me about that?
My sister Kate and I were born under a shed in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. We were part of a litter of three boys and two girls. One day the SPCA people came to rescue my cat mom and us from under the shed. We were scared and didn't know if we could trust the humans, so my sister Kate hissed, bit and scratched the humans trying to protect us all - even our mom! Seeing that the humans were bigger then Kate a 6 week old kitten they won the battle. Good thing they were really just helping us!

How did you find your forever home (or how did it find you?)
My human had come to the shelter a week before she came to pick us up and picked out two tuxedo kittens but had to get papers from her landlord before she could take them home. After she had her papers she called the shelter to reserve the tuxedo kittens only to find out they both got a respiratory infection. The nice people at the SPCA told her about my litter and an hour later she was at the shelter to meet us! I lucked out BIG time, when my human got there the shelter workers grabbed me to show first. I started purring like crazy while she held me and gave her lovey eyes. I locked in my spot in about 3 seconds by doing that! While she was petting me they got out the two females and they called Kate "the mean one" because of how she protected us all under the shed. My human felt bad she was being called mean and thats how Kate was picked! So the two of us lucked out big time and got to go home with a super nice human!
The ride home was long that day, we had to make three stops before we could see our new home! First we had to me meet my human's grandparents (my great grandparents). Then we had to meet her parents (my grand parents), and THEN we had to meet our human's boyfriend's parents! Oh my cat, it was a long day but we survived and were happy to finally have a place to call HOME!

What’s your favorite thing about your adoptive family?
Hmm our favorite thing about our new family? Well our human is extremely nice to us, we can just tell she loves us to death! However, she sometimes says stupid stuff to us like "who's belly is this?" when she gives us belly rubs. We can't figure out why she asks us that, I mean obviously its attached to me so it HAS to be my belly! For belly rubs though we deal!! She also calls us funny names a lot like Kate gets called "Katie Kat Kou Face" and "Kater Tot Pot Pie". I get called "Soybean Kou Face" and "Mr Boy". We tell her that we are just Kate and Sawyer (named after the TV show LOST) but she still makes up crazy stuff.
Our human is a strict vegetarian so her meals are generally not worthy of eating. Yet, for birthdays, major holidays and when something big happens in her life we are rewarded with TUNA! Its the best ever! The best part of the every day is when our human returns home from work. We listen for her car all day and as soon as we hear it we bolt to the door and wait for her to come in. She gives us lots of hugs and kisses then, its great! Whenever she is home we are at least within 10 feet of her, we take in all we can get of her companionship! We are very lucky kitties!!
Lucky indeed! I just love stories wif happy endings, don't you?
A special thank you and purrs to Sawyer and Katie for taking the time to answer my questions. If you hadn't met Sawyer or Katie before today, I recommend you head over twitter and introduce yourselves. After all, you can't have too many furiends!
Thanks for stopping by!
