Queen of the Week

Today is a great day! It’s time to announce the next Queen of the Week! I is very thrilled this week to be able to share wif you one kitty whom I’ve always seen as a Queen. She’s smart, funny, demanding, isn’t afraid to call a spade a spade. Oh, and she’z a famous author too.

Yes, my friends, this week’s Queen is none other than SparkleCat!

Age?

I turned 7 on June 24th. It was an exciting birthday for me - my cat-to-cat advice book came out on Amazon that day!

Plus I got Da Bird and a kitty pirate ship. So it was pretty much the awesomest birthday ever.

What does being a Queen feline mean to you?

Not the same thing it does to some Somali cats! I am purebred, and in the world I come from, a Queen is a female kitty who has kittens. My mother (Tina Turner of Tajhara) was a Queen (obviously, because she had me!), which I guess already makes me a Princess! But shortly after my human brought me home, she sent me to the vets and had me spayed. I am glad to know that you don't need to have kittens to be Queen.

When I came to live here, I discovered that it wasn't even necessary to be a purebred cat to be a Queen. In fact, one of the other cats here, Binga, is a pound rescue and she thinks she is Queen too! Sometimes we have arguments over who is the Queen Queen. Sad to say, in all the years I've been here, there has been no clear-cut winner.

Honestly, I think all cats (the girls, at least) are Queens and even if we don't wear physical crowns, we should always behave as if we had one perched on our regal heads. You won't get respect unless you expect it, after all.


How does it affect your role with your subjects?

Unfortunately, my main subject - my human - is one of those types who "questions authority," so she is a handful. Fortunately, because I'm a successful author (I have just been signed to Adams Media for a sequel to my advice book), she knows she has to follow my lead more often than not. In fact, I can get her to follow me all around the house with just a look! Actually, I guess my human is pretty much my only subject. Her boyfriend is ruled by the dog. But come to think of it, the dog is kind of scared of me, even though she's 10 times bigger than me. So does she count as a subject?

I don’t know about the rest of you all, but I am thinking that the dog is definitely one of her subjects. Hehe! Go Sparkle!

Now Sparkle didn’t mention it, but on top of being an author and twitter addict, she also has a couple really cool blogs. Queen of the Week

I can has a Queen of the Week? Oh, yes I can, and so canz you! I searched high and low for a fitting Queen, and I foundz one, in Liverpool. Now, I’z been told some consider this fine lady as a bit of a scaredy cat, but I noz believe it. She’s been made many friends and is very active in the twitter critter community. She will make a fine Queen, I am sure of it!

Who is this mysterious lady you ask? Well, the newest Queen of the Week is none other than my friend Rosie aka MedusaJ

Age?

My age is 10 yrs and I am a down to earth moggie who happens to be a Queen.

What does being a Queen feline mean to you?

Being a Queen feline means that not only do I know that I am a special cat but everyone else will know it and treat me with the respect a Queen deserves. I realise with this status comes huge responsibility so I will allow my subjects to give me cuddles and ear scratches. I will treat them with kindness but make no mistake if they make me angry the punishment will be a swift and painful swipe! I never stay angry for long and will alway play with my subjects, give them nosetaps and always love them.

How does it affect your roll with your subjects?

My subjects (Mum, the Dad & Minidude) know me by the name of Rosie and already serve me and their lives revolve around me but it will remind them just how special I am.

Queen Of The Week

Well, yesterday we introduced the newest Man-Cat of the Week, so that means that there is just one thing left to do. What’s that you ask? It’s time to announce the newest Queen Of The Week! Up till now we’ve been able to bring you some of the finest feline ladies on twitter. This week is no exception. This week’s Queen is a very busy young lady though. Not only does she share with us on twitter, she has her own blog, and she has a full-time job as a product tester to ensure her mom only sells the bestest stuff to her furred friends.

Age?

I is one years old, now a lady cat. And it will be one year on July 25th dat I has been in my furever home! So dat is my gotcha day, dat is what momma says.

What does being a Queen feline mean to you?

I is so very honored to be a Queen feline! Dis means dat in addition to my Chief Kit duties for our store I has a very impawtant role in decidings many fings including when momma should gets up to feeds us or when momma or daddy should plays wif us. It also means dat I can still chases my brofur Lucky whenevers I want and my sisfur LociLu must lets me cleans her furs when I want!

I guesses I always knew dat I was da top feline arounds here cause I gets to helps momma wif our pet supplies store. It just has becomes more official and I is handlings my royalty wif grace!

How does it affect your roll with your subjects?

My subjects happen to be momma, daddy, sisfur, and brofur. I already makes da decisions and gets my way so even if dey act likes dey don't like it dey all luvs me! Dis will helps to gets my sisfur and brofur to helps out more wif da store duties too, a Queen has to gets some time off!

As for momma and daddy, I knows how to finds troublez and dey might yells "BABY PATCHES" but I still has em wrapped round my paw! Maybe it mights be a little easier now wif being a Queen, don't you fink? Plus, I should gets em to plays wif me and my Da Bird more oftens!

Now there is a lady fit to be Queen. I’z got to tellz you all too, I think she was flirtin wif me a bit when I asked her to be Queen. *cough* Of course, that didn’t affect my decision making at all. Nope sure didn’t! I would like to add though that Baby Patches is a really sweet and kind girl to pal around wif on twitter. And if you likez toys, she could probably recommend the bestest stuff currently for sales. OMC, I almost forgotted, right now she is having a contest at her website, and you should totally go check it out!

Queen of the Week

Today is a good day! Why you ask? Cause I get to announce the new Queen of the Week. This week I am pleased to bring you one of the sweetest girls I know.

AnnaBelle aka Circus Kitty

Age

I am a St. Patrick’s Day kitty in the prime of life – just over two years old.

What does being a Queen feline mean to you?

I am honored to be a Queen Of The Week on CWT, and want to make all the stripey kitties proud. We are fond of saying “We rule!” (I mean – have you seen That Stripey Cat?) But I like all my anipals on Twitter– those with stripes and those without. (hubba, hubba Tyrone the cat).

How does it affect your roll with your subjects?

I have pretty much ruled the roost at my forever home since I was first adopted. I am definitely a daddeh’s girl. He is the one who spotted me. I was living at the Cat Adoption Team shelter (@CatAdopt). My stripes made me stand out – naturally! He picked me up, held me in his arms, and I purred. He has been wrapped around my paw ever since!

When I first came home the mommeh used to say – no! Don’t jump up on that! She didn’t think a kitteh should get in the sink, or on top of the counters. But the daddeh said: “How cute!” Ever since I goes pretty much wherever I wants! I lays in the sink to be petted, I sits in the tub until they come turn the water on (even though I has a special pet fountain), and the hoomins carry me around all over the place.

The daddeh even puts me on top of places the mommeh says I really shouldn’t be – like the china cabinet or someplace she calls “decorative shelves.” I also like to walk the fence, jump on the roof, and do tricks on the ladder that hangs from the garage ceiling. I notice the mommeh doesn’t say no any more. I think she just gave up. Or maybe she recognized I was a “Circus Kitty” Queen-in-training.

Well, there you have it fellow felines, yet another Queen who knows how to take control and rule her kingdom.

With all her talk of exploring and her love for water, I think she’s a kitty after my own heart. This kitty would gladly live under her rule! Mer-meow!!!
